Oak is a dense and heavy wood, which contributes to its durability and resistance to wear and tear. Oak wood has a pronounced and attractive grain pattern with a texture that remains visible after our opaque black stain is applied. We use a water base stain to darken the wood which is then sealed with three coats of hard wax oil.
