Black walnut has deep brown hue with darker streaks and occasional purplish undertones. The grain pattern is typically straight, but it can also display a wavy or curly figure. The wood has a medium texture with a moderate natural luster. We finish our walnut pieces with a satin oil to complement it's smooth surface.
